I saw this video on YouTube the other day, and thought it was a really good idea to start on this blog 🙂
It’s been fun watching all the tagged people respond to the video, so I’m hoping this will work out in blog format too! I’ve taken Mimei’s exact questions, so here goes!
今年の一番よかった事何ですか。kotoshi no ichiban yokatta koto nandesuka? What was the best thing that happened to you this year?
It’s always hard to choose the best thing that has happened. I think the most exciting thing had to be my trip to Japan this summer. But I’ve also had lots of good little things happen to me, like meeting new people, or being able to meet and hang out with old friends again. Also I’m now a Godmother to my new baby nephew who was born at the end of last month! Because I’m the youngest of such a big family, I never ever thought I’d be chosen as a Godmother (you know being young and a bit of party kinda person), but it’s happened, and I’m oh so ever grateful! お兄さん頑張ります！
今年の一番悪かった事何ですか。kotoshi no ichiban warukatta koto nandesuka? What is the worst thing that has happened to you this year?
I actually can not think of the worst thing that has happened to me this year. I’m sure, there were days when something happened and I thought “this is the worst day of my life ever!”, but looking back it couldn’t have been that bad if I can’t even remember.
今年の好きだった映画、アニメ、ゲーム、アプリなどを紹介して下さい。kotoshi no suki datta eiga, anime, gemu, apuri nado o shoukaishite kudasai. What was your favourite movie, anime, game, application etc. this year?
I’ll start with my favourite anime this year, which has got to be none other than Attack on Titan (進撃の巨人)!
Seriously if you haven’t already watched it, go watch it. Now. Yes, it’s that good! 😉 In terms of applications, I’ve become obsessed with twitter! Some of you may have noticed this f^^; And because I use twitter so much, and follow Japanese users, whom I can’t understand half of the time, I’ve come to rely on my dictionary app quite a lot. So I’d have to say kotoba (or as it’s called now: imiwa) is my favourite, or let’s say, most used application (after twitter of course 😉 ). The great thing about kotoba as well, is that it has a text analyser. So you can copy Japanese text and if there are any kanji you can’t read, it will add furigana, and will also define all of the words in the text. すごく便利だよ！And last, but not least, my favourite book: Haruki Murakami’s 1Q84. It’s an absolutely brilliant book and I absolutely recommend it.
今年買ってよかった物三つ紹介して下さい。kotoshi katte yokatta mono mitsu shoukai shite kudasai. Present three things you’re happy you bought this year.
My Canon 650D, Macbook Pro, and tickets to Japan! Wow this year has been expensive ~_~; But definitely all worth it!
新年の抱負はありますか。shinnen no houfu ha arimasu ka? What are your aspirations for the new year? (Basically New Year’s resolution)
To get back into studying Japanese properly. Perhaps, actually attending a class, and in the summer taking the JLPT N3 (and passing it of course). I think that it probably my biggest goal for now. Also, I would really like to get better at photography. But since that’s just a hobby, it’s not something I necessarily feel I need to achieve just yet. Finally, I would like to write more blog posts! Maybe even start vlogging. A few friends keep telling me I should start my own YouTube channel, but as you can probably tell I’m very camera shy. I love taking pictures and videos, but hate being in them. So really I have no idea how that would work out. But who knows…
Anyways, now on to tagging:
