On Sunday December 9th from 1:00-5:00pm The Japan Foundation will be running a special workshop for those who love anime and are studying Japanese. And what better way to study, than by reading and watching the infamous Bleach! The workshop is open to anyone who has approximately JLPT level N4 and above for a small fee of £7. And at the end you even get to take a copy of the manga home with you (to further practice your reading skills of course!).
I’ve found that trying to read a manga in its original language is really one of the best ways to improve your Japanese. You learn new kanjis, grammar and get accustomed to reading texts in Japanese. It’s also a great way to immerse yourself in the culture, and teaches you a more colloquial form of Japanese that you may try using with friends だってばよ d(￣ ￣)
If you want more information and to register for the workshop, visit the Japan Foundation website here.
