If you listen to J-Pop, you may have heard of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. In the past year she has taken Japan by storm with her eccentric looks and playful songs. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is the epitome of fashion in Harajuku (Tokyo). Before turning to music, she was a fashion blogger and a model for Harajuku magazines such as ケラ (Kera). She also has her own line of fake eyelashes: Harajuku Doll Eyelashes, which I think look amazing! If you want to see more Harajuku eyelashes, check out this website: Eyemazing.
And as an idol, after the Tohoku earthquake in March of last year, Kyary participated in a fundraising charity event called One Snap for Love. The event took donations and gave people the opportunity to have their picture taken with Kyary by famous Japanese photographer and editor Yasumasa Yonehara.
It’s only in the summer of 2011 that she began her music career with “PonPonPon”.
I don’t think I could get away with a lot of what Kyari wears, and some things I find a little too over the top. But I love the creativity and originality that goes into each and every outfit. And some of the accessories are really quite neat 😉
